On the morning of Sept 28, the 1,000-meter horse race and the 4,000-meter camel race were held, attracting hundreds of participants from around the autonomous region.

Inner Mongolia Desert Nadam Festival was developed from the Naiman Banner Desert Tourism Festival and is hosted by the sports bureau of Inner Mongolia autonomous region and the government of Naiman Banner.

It has now become a signature cultural tourism event in the autonomous region.
