For tourists looking for a place to experience the colorful transition from summer to autumn, Ergune in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region is a must-visit destination.

Ergune is named after the Ergune River, which is celebrated as the origin of the Mongol people. It is China's northernmost border city and shares a 673-kilometer border with Russia.

The Ergune Wetland, an area covering 126,000 hectares, has been recognized as China’s best-protected natural wetland. It boasts forests, mountains and lakes, as well as stunning seasonal variation.
