The 2021 China-Mongolia New Year cultural exchange activities were officially launched on Feb 10 to promote mutual understanding between the people of China and Mongolia and enhance traditional friendships.

These activities will last until mid-March, in accordance with China’s traditional Spring Festival holiday.

This year’s activities will include special Spring Festival-themed programs, cultural performances, TV drama and film screenings, heart-warming exchanges and condolences events.

The Spring Festival gala, TV dramas and films will be screened on Mongolia’s major TV channels, which are the primary broadcasting platforms, and other activities will be held online.

Special columns will also be published on CRI Online, a key central news website in China, and Solongo News Network, China's first Mongolian news website, to promote the exchange activities.

Preparations are being made to donate anti-pandemic materials to friends in Mongolia’s news and culture fields to support Mongolia’s fight against COVID-19.

E-cards will also be sent to the Mongolian people and Chinese nationals living in Mongolia to convey Spring Festival greetings and best wishes.

The activities are sponsored by the Chinese embassy in Mongolia, the Mongolian Journalists Association and the Inner Mongolia autonomous region's government news office.
