Stunning maple leaves lure visitors to Inner Mongolia

As the 2021 Horqin Right Wing Middle Banner Five-pointed Maple Festival kicked off on Sept 19, tourists can now enjoy the splendid autumn scenery of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The festival is being held in the Five-pointed Maple Eco-tourism Scenic Area at the southern foot of the Greater Hinggan Mountains. It covers a total area of 61,641.3 hectares and is famous for its colorful and graceful endangered tree species – the sandy five-pointed maple.

The festival will run for around a month until Oct 17.
In addition to admiring maple leaves turning colors, other activities during the festival include intangible cultural item shows, Mongolian embroidery exhibitions, tourism photography competitions, the five-pointed maple culture industry forum, and a grassland sports conference.
