Speed skater Han Mei from North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region finished with a time of 7:08.37 in the women's 1,500m final at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics on Feb 10, getting 11th place and setting a new personal record.

Han is performing in a variety of events at this year's Winter Olympics, including the 1,500m, 3,000m, 5,000m and team pursuit in speed skating.

She said that being able to participate in multiple events at the Beijing Winter Olympics is a testament to her talent.

The women's 5,000m is Han's third event at this year's Winter Olympics. She has already participated in the 3,000m and 1,500m competitions. From Feb 5 to Feb 10, her cumulative sliding distance was 9,500 meters.

Han Mei previously won fifth place in the women's team pursuit at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in South Korea.

Since November 2021, she has participated in four World Cup speed skating competitions in the United States, Poland and other places, breaking national records for the 1,500m and 3,000m three times.
