With the approach of June, the Hulunbuir prairie - in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region - has entered the season of fresh, pristine water and lush, abundant grass.

In a typical moment, newborn foals bathe in the warmth of summer and frolic in the expansive grassland, adding their life vitality to the resplendent scenery.

As one of the world's top three grasslands, the Hulunbuir prairie covers an area of about 100,000 square kilometers, with a natural grassland coverage of 80 percent.
