Inner Mongolia Carbon Neutralization Research Center officially established
The Inner Mongolia Carbon Neutralization Research Center, jointly built by the Inner Mongolia Economic Association and Inner Mongolia Longwei Engineering Technology Co, was officially established in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on June 26.
The center is committed to the research and promotion of "carbon neutral" technology and industrial development in the region and providing research and consulting services for the implementation of the "double carbon" action, where China aims to peak its carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060.
The center focuses on subject research, policy consultation, project consultation, engineering consultation, establishment of expert think tanks, dispatch of expert consultants, organization of special forums and innovation activities, and establishment of an industry-university-research integration platform.
It will strive to build a platform for the introduction and commercialization of equipment-related products in the chemical industry, advanced technologies and R&D achievements.
Moreover, it will cooperate with relevant institutions and enterprises to carry out high-tech enterprise projects focusing on energy conservation and emissions reduction, green development, and digital transformation.
Additionally, at the "double carbon" action seminar held that same day, experts and scholars conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics such as "dual carbon" goals and tasks, green transformation, technological innovation, and application of carbon dioxide capture technology.
