Hinggan League in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has experienced significant transformation over the past 10 years.

Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China held in November 2012, the league has been making significant progress in terms of ecological civilization construction, agricultural development and all-for-one tourism development.

In 2019, Hinggan League implemented the Green Corridor Action of Plantation Forest at the southern foot of the Greater Hinggan Mountains, and over a three-year period it has planted more than 1 million mu (666,666.67 hectares) of trees and built a solid "green Great Wall".

The forest area of the league is 30.1 million mu and the forest coverage rate is 33.39 percent, which is 10 percentage points higher than the average in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 13 percentage points higher than the national average.

The total grassland area in the league is 26.84 million mu, and the average vegetation coverage of grassland is 75.36 percent, which is 31 percentage points higher than the regional average and 18 percentage points higher than the national average.

Among the six counties and county-level cities under the jurisdiction of Hinggan League, three have been granted the honorable title of National Demonstration City of Ecological Civilization Construction and Practice Innovation Base of "Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains Are Invaluable Assets."

Meanwhile, Hinggan League is continuing to promote the construction of a rice brand, corn intensive processing, beef cattle industrial chain system and national high-end dairy production base in an effort to develop itself into a production, processing and output base for high-quality green agricultural and livestock products.

Hinggan League has a rice planting area of 1.35 million mu and a rice output of 750,000 metric tons and is considered the home of high-quality rice in Inner Mongolia.

The Hinggan League Rice brand has been named among "China's Top Ten Rice Regional Public Brands" and "China's Top Ten Most Delicious Rice.”

As of the end of May this year, there were 1.24 million cattle in Hinggan League, and there were 469 standard-scale cattle farms.

Additionally, Hinggan League is blessed with an abundance of grasslands, forests, flowers, pastoral fields, ice and snow, hot springs and culture, helping it develop all-for-one tourism.

In recent years, the league has been making strong efforts to optimize its tourism layout, strengthen the construction of tourism infrastructure, and increase tourism marketing and promotion.

In the first half of this year, it received 3.87 million domestic tourist visits, generating 2.33 billion yuan in tourism revenue.
