The 32nd Inner Mongolia Tourism Nadam officially kicked off in Xiliinhot city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on July 29.

This year's Nadam is jointly sponsored by the region's department of culture and tourism and the Xiliin Gol League Administrative Office and will last for one month.

During the event, traditional Mongolian sports such as wrestling, horse racing and archery – sometimes referred to as the "men's three skills" – will be featured alongside countryside music galas, exhibitions on the protection of intangible cultural heritage items, flower sightseeing, cultural and creative festivals, white horse cultural festivals, and large-scale live performances.

Tourists can also participate in trendy sports competitions such as a prairie tourist triathlon, prairie volcano crossing, cycling, hiking, horse riding, and night tours, as well as experience special activities involving motorcycles, music, travel photography, camping, cheese and other food tasting and skydiving.

This year's Nadam aims to preserve traditional Chinese culture, promote the deep integration of culture and tourism, and comprehensively boost the high-quality development of tourism.
