Inner Mongolia autonomous region will contribute to the Chinese-style modernization by further optimizing the regional opening-up process, improving the pan-port economy, strengthening the construction of opening-up infrastructure, and optimizing its business environment.

It was stated by Zhang Zhidong, deputy director of the region's macroeconomic research center.

Lying in northern China, Inner Mongolia has a borderline stretching more than 4,200 kilometers with both Russia and Mongolia. This is one of the advantages that push Inner Mongolia to hasten its opening-up policies.

In recent years, Inner Mongolia has made significant improvement in expanding its opening-up process.

The State Council has approved Inner Mongolia to open 20 ports to resume global business. The China-Europe freight trains leaving and entering China through Inner Mongolia's ports have increased to a large number.

In particular, the two ports of Manzhouli and Ereenhot are the country's national key development and opening-up test zones and border economic cooperation zones.

Inner Mongolia's foreign trade has repeatedly hit new highs. It has established trade relations with 183 countries and regions around the world. The region has upgraded its export-oriented platform.

At present, it has three national economic and technological development zones, which are located in Hohhot, Hulunbuir and Bayannuur.

Hohhot, Chifeng, Ordos, Manzhouli and Baotou were approved as national cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones, and the construction of the China-Mongolia economic cooperation zone is progressing in an orderly manner.
