865 projects signed at Inner Mongolia agricultural expo

The 32nd Inner Mongolia International Agricultural Expo came to a successful conclusion at the Inner Mongolia International Convention and Exhibition Center in Hohhot, the capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on March 14.

Over a three-day period, from March 12 to 14, the expo received 40,000 visits in total.

As of the morning of March 14, the intended turnover of the expo exceeded 1.28 billion yuan, the on-site turnover reached 460 million yuan ($66.19 million), and 865 projects were signed.

The theme of this year's expo was "developing modern agriculture and animal husbandry, helping rural vitalization."

It had an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, with more than 1,200 booths.

Seven exhibition areas were set up at the expo, including regional public brands, agricultural materials, water-saving irrigation systems, agricultural and animal husbandry machinery, smart agriculture, agricultural and forestry products, and financial services.

Over 800 companies from 16 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country signed up to participate in the exhibition.

Wang Yaming, the spokesperson of the organizing committee of the Inner Mongolia International Agricultural Expo, said that compared with previous events, the level of intelligence and technology available at this year's expo was much higher.

The expo had positive and practical significance, as it promoted food production, ensured people's livelihood, stimulated consumption, and helped rural vitalization.
