A train carrying 270 tourists successfully arrived in Arxan city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on May 18.
The tourist train, Hinggan League, departed from Dalian city in Northeast China's Liaoning province and is the first train operating in the area this year.
Tourists, travel agencies, and media outlets on board were there to admire the splendid azalea flower seas.
Located at the southern foot of the Greater Hinggan Mountains Range, Arxan is covered in snow for seven months a year.
Each May, the beautiful Hinggan azaleas awaken the city.
According to Wang Xiaoliang, a Hinggan League Culture and Tourism Industry Development Co staff member, the Hinggan League tourist train runs all year round. It plays a vital role in promoting regional tourism cooperation.
Since the beginning of this year, Hinggan League has held eight promotion events in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Pearl River Delta, and the Sichuan-Chongqing area.

Meanwhile, two roadshows were held in Shanghai and Wuhan, and 36 new cultural and creative products were launched for various promotion activities, further deepening the impression of Hinggan League for tourism companies across the country.
Additionally, nearly 100 cooperation agreements and projects have been signed with tourism companies nationwide.
During the May Day holiday, promotion advertisements were also placed at 10 international airports and transportation hubs in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and Beijing, continuously expanding the tourism influence of the league.
Furthermore, to further expand customer sourcing, the "Implementation Plan to Support the Development of Travel Agencies in Hinggan League" has been revised, and the incentive has been increased to encourage tourism companies to attract more customers to the league.
From January to April this year, Hinggan League received 2.34 million domestic tourists and achieved a tourism revenue of 1.54 billion yuan ($221.58 million).
