The 4th China-Mongolia Expo is set to be held in the city of Hohhot in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Sept 6-10.

"As an international exhibition jointly organized by the governments of China and Mongolia and open to the world, the China-Mongolia Expo has become an important exchange platform for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries after years of cultivation," said Li Fei, deputy minister of the Ministry of Commerce.

This year's expo is based on the theme of "Building a new open pattern and sharing new development opportunities".

The expo will feature five major components including an opening ceremony, economic and trade negotiations, conferences and forums, exhibitions and displays, as well as cultural exchanges.

Yang Jin, vice chairman of Inner Mongolia, said the main exhibition area of this expo will reach 92,000 square meters, with over 3,000 companies expected to participate.

The expo will set up areas showcasing the advantageous characteristics of the region, such as its energy and equipment manufacturing industries.

Other exhibition areas will showcase new energy vehicles, e-commerce, imported goods in the cross-border trade zone, and Mongolian goods.

Some 35 countries and regions have confirmed their participation, along with 27 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities.
