Busy herdsmen harvest grass in Chen Barga Banner

As autumn approaches, the vast natural grasslands of Chen Barga Banner in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region have entered their prime harvesting season.

Large machines, including mowers, rakes, and balers, weave through the lush green fields, leaving behind neatly packed bales.

Chen Barga Banner boasts an impressive 22.91 million mu (1.53 million hectares) of natural grassland resources. Over 21.5 million mu is usable grassland, making up 71 percent of the banner's total land area.

The area designated for grass harvesting this year covers 7.24 million mu. The total forage reserve for Chen Barga Banner is estimated to reach approximately 500,000 metric tons, with grass harvesting expected to conclude by the end of September.
