Inner Mongolia introduces measures to boost energy technology development
The energy bureau of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region recently issued the "Several Policy Measures for Energy Technology Innovation in Inner Mongolia". This initiative aims to provide robust policy support for advancing energy technology in the region.
The document outlines 19 policy measures across five key areas: undertaking major scientific and technological challenges, cultivating and expanding technology innovation platforms, attracting and nurturing high-level innovative talent, promoting the application of innovative achievements, and creating a favorable environment for technological innovation.
In terms of major scientific and technological challenges, the region will focus on several critical areas.
These include enhancing the safety, cost-effectiveness, and longevity of energy storage solutions; advancing the independent and efficient production and large-scale, long-distance safe transport of hydrogen energy key equipment; developing new power systems with high proportions of renewable energy, flexible smart grids, and increased consumption of green electricity; and promoting green and intelligent coal mining and efficient, flexible power generation.
Additionally, Inner Mongolia will establish a project database for energy technology innovation. The database will include projects in key areas such as energy storage, hydrogen energy, new power systems, green coal development, and efficient power generation, which will receive focused support. The region will assist in project implementation and transform innovative results into practical applications.
