Ulaanqab welcomes global tourists for winter fun

Ulaanqab city in Inner Mongolia, North China, launched the second season of its winter tourism campaign on Nov 16.
This year's tourism season features seven premium winter travel routes and introduces "ice and snow tourism + folk culture, night economy, and fashion performances".
Over 100 immersive and experiential cultural and tourism activities will be held, including the Wulanhada Volcano Singing Festival, Ulaanqab Ice and Snow Night Carnival, Siziwang Banner Ice and Snow Naadam, and Chaer Lake Winter Fishing.
Ulaanqab will host nine sports events, including the National Winter Biathlon Championship and the first Ulaanqab Ice Hockey Invitational.

Visitors are warmly invited to Ulaanqab to experience the thrill of international ski resorts, explore the post-snow Wulanhada Volcano, relax in the winter hot springs of Daihai, and savor unique gourmet classics. Tourists can enjoy the unique romance of the snowy grasslands and embark on an unforgettable winter adventure.
At the launch ceremony, Xinhua News Agency's China Economic Information Service released the Ulaanqab Cultural and Tourism Brand Communication Index, signaling the city's ambition to become a "high-quality tourism powerhouse."
The Inner Mongolia Department of Culture and Tourism also announced the 2024-2025 winter sports events directory and unveiled the Guo Dandan Ski School, named after the world ski champion.
