The event featured two categories: a half marathon (21 kilometers) and a 5-km fun run.

Starting at the Aoluguya Reindeer Tribe Scenic Area tourist center, the route passed landmarks such as the Cold Pole Tower, Yingbin Bridge, the urban slow travel system, and the Genhe Source Wetland Park entrance, finishing at the park's main tourist center.
