The four-day third session of the 14th Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional People's Congress is underway in Hohhot city, where deputies and the regional standing committee will share duty performances of 2024.
The past year saw the Standing Committee of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional People's Congress achieve significant legislative and supervisory milestones. Nine local regulations were enacted, 16 were amended or repealed, and 76 were reviewed and approved.
Meanwhile, six law enforcement inspections were organized, 42 special reports were reviewed and discussed, five thematic inquiries and satisfaction evaluations were conducted, and six resolutions were passed. These efforts provided critical legal support for the region's reform, development, and stability.
Deputies at all levels engaged with local communities, reflecting public concerns and participating in legislative and oversight activities. They proposed practical and impactful suggestions, contributing substantially to the region's high-quality development.
In addition to duty performances, this year's session agenda includes four plenary meetings, three presidium meetings, and five delegation meetings, covering eight major items.
Key tasks involve reviewing and approving the government work report, plans, budgets, and the work reports of the region's judicial bodies. Additional items include approving the appointment of key committee chairs and concluding election matters.
