Inner Mongolia projects selected for national 10G optical network program
Five projects from North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region have been included in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's recently released national 10G optical network pilot program. The program includes 168 projects across 86 cities nationwide.
Inner Mongolia's five projects include Horinger New Area, listed in the "10G Industrial Parks" category; Mengniu Dairy, selected as a "10G Factory"; and three residential communities – Rencai Jiayuan and Wanjin Yunxi in Hohhot city and Zhengxiang Guoji in Baotou city – recognized as "10G Communities".
The 10G optical network represents the next-generation upgrade of broadband infrastructure, offering ultra-fast fixed network access. It plays a vital role in boosting investment, enhancing user experience, promoting new digital consumption, advancing industrial modernization, and accelerating the digital transformation of the economy and society.
An official from the Hohhot industry and information technology bureau said the city will work closely with communication authorities to strengthen organizational support and steadily advance pilot applications to upgrade the local network to a faster, higher-capacity, and more intelligent infrastructure.
