Mongolian workshop preserves ethnic traditions
Located in Baarin Right Banner, Chifeng city, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the Baarin Ethnic Handicraft Workshop was established with local government support, building upon Mongolian embroidery – an intangible cultural heritage of the region.
Since its founding, the workshop has focused on preserving, inheriting and promoting Mongolian embroidery techniques, training local ethnic artisans, and integrating a range of activities, including the production and sale of traditional ethnic costumes and the protection and innovative development of intangible cultural heritage.
Here, visitors can witness the creation of traditional Mongolian handicrafts, enjoy performances of Mongolian musical instruments, and observe live demonstrations of ethnic clothing, embroidered works and traditional Mongolian boots.
