North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region recently allocated 450 million yuan ($62.5 million) in special funds to support the transformation and upgrading of its manufacturing sector, with a focus on high-end, smart, and green development.

The funds focus on key areas including equipment upgrades, technological transformation, digitalization, and energy efficiency in the industrial sector. Efforts will be made to replace outdated equipment with advanced technologies, promote research and development in core technologies, and drive innovation in manufacturing processes, aiming to elevate the value chain.

To accelerate digital transformation, the policy encourages industrial enterprises to adopt smart manufacturing practices. Additionally, the initiative promotes green upgrades by supporting energy-saving renovations and the use of high-efficiency, low-carbon technologies.

According to the Inner Mongolia Department of Industry and Information Technology, the funding will incentivize companies to renew their equipment and work toward green transformation, providing strong support for the region’s high-quality manufacturing development.
