The final of the 2025 Mongolian Horse Super League was held on the vast Xiliin Gol League grasslands on June 28-29.

The event featured eight traditional and culturally rich competitions, including a 30-kilometer Mongolian horse endurance race, a 9.6-km three-person team relay, horse taming, barrel racing, and the horseback hada-picking race.

Locally known as the "Machao" (Horse Super), the Mongolian Horse Super League is a large-scale grassroots equestrian competition primarily involving herders. Initiated in 2023, the league requires contestants to qualify through town and county-level trials before earning a spot in the finals.

Xiliin Gol is renowned for its strong horse culture, with over 200,000 Mongolian horses, raised mainly by local herders, grazing its expansive plains.

Wang Yongsheng, deputy director of the Xiliin Gol bureau of culture, sports, tourism, and broadcasting, the event aimed to showcase the unique charm of grassland culture through competitions, diverse cultural experiences, and tourism activities.
