The Summer Climate Tourism Development Conference was held in Arxan city, Hinggan League, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 9.

The event aims to explore the value of summer climate, share successful practices in utilizing climate tourism to support green economic growth, and promote the high-quality development of the cultural and tourism economy.

During the keynote session, experts from the National Climate Center and leaders in the cultural and tourism industries delivered analyses on topics such as "Unlocking the Value of Summer Climate Resources for High-Quality Tourism Development" and "Innovative Development of Summer Tourism from Multidimensional Perspectives". Their insights highlighted current trends, cutting-edge ideas, and innovative strategies to advance the summer tourism sector.

The conference also saw the release of three major climate-tourism achievements: the Guide to Stargazing Tourism in Inner Mongolia's Summer Climate Destinations, the White Paper on Hinggan League's Summer Climate Resources and Cultural Tourism Development, and the Arxan Hot Spring Resort Index.

In his opening remarks, Hinggan League Head Yu Jishun showcased Arxan's unique climate and rich ecological tourism offerings. "There are no 30 C heatwaves here – only cool, clear 22 C air," he said.

"Arxan offers a cool escape, a fairy-tale life, and a chance to slow down." He invited visitors to enjoy nature-based experiences – from waking up in a Mongolian yurt, roaming the Ulan Maodu grasslands with livestock, breathing deeply in primeval forests, and chasing sunsets on horseback to healing in hot springs and stargazing by bonfires.
