The Fifth China–Mongolia Expo has kicked off in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, and will last until Aug 29.
The event is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia, and the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

During the expo, a series of events is scheduled, including a trade fair, a think tank forum, China–Mongolia–Russia cultural exchange performances, and the China–Russia–Mongolia "Tea Road" international tourism promotion.
The expo features four main activities: high-level exchanges, trade negotiations, cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and exhibitions. Emphasizing regional collaboration, openness, and diversity, the expo is meant to serve as a new platform for China's northern opening, strengthen regional industrial and supply chain cooperation, and act as a key hub for Northeast Asian collaboration.
