China–Russia conference seals 501m yuan of deals

Around 150 representatives from the Chinese and Russian governments and enterprises attended the China (Inner Mongolia)–Russia Investment and Trade Promotion Conference, which was held in Hohhot on Aug 26 as part of the Fifth China–Mongolia Expo.
Six cooperation agreements were signed, covering natural gas, agricultural trade, cross-border logistics, and crop farming, with a total value of 501 million yuan ($69.78 million), injecting new momentum into regional cooperation.
The conference featured investment environment briefings and project roadshows. Officials from Inner Mongolia, Ordos, and Manzhouli presented their local advantages and opportunities, while representatives from Siberia, including Tomsk and Omsk, outlined their development plans and cooperation prospects.

Eight Chinese and Russian companies showcased projects in drone manufacturing, new energy vehicles, supply chains, chemical engineering, and agriculture.
"This event further strengthens economic ties between Inner Mongolia and Russian regions," said an official from the Inner Mongolia Department of Commerce. "Moving forward, both sides will deepen collaboration across multiple sectors to promote high-quality development".
