Inner Mongolian cities deepen Japan ties through Expo 2025 Osaka

The cities of Ordos and Bayannuur in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region hosted matchmaking events on Oct 10 during Expo 2025 Osaka, expanding cooperation with Japanese counterparts in industries, trade, culture, and tourism.
The China (Ordos)–Japan (Osaka) Industrial Matchmaking Conference focused on complementary sectors, including new energy and cashmere products. Eleven leading companies from Ordos held one-on-one meetings with over 30 Japanese enterprises and organizations. Japanese participants included key trade promotion bodies, such as the Japan-China Friendship Association of Nara Prefecture and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Kansai.
Discussions were dynamic and productive. In the new energy field, both sides explored cooperation in hydrogen and renewable energy technologies. In traditional industries, they exchanged ideas on technological innovation and market expansion.

Bayannuur participated in the China-Japan Economic, Trade, Cultural, and Tourism Exchange Symposium during the expo's "Inner Mongolia Day", engaging in discussions with over 30 Japanese enterprises and business associations on trade circulation, fintech, cultural tourism, education, healthcare, and new energy development.
Representatives from the Bayannuur Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the city's information office presented the region's industrial strengths and tourism potential. Both sides reached preliminary cooperation intentions, laying the groundwork for future collaboration.
