Lianhua Mountain in Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is rated as a 4A-level national scenic area by the National Tourism Administration. Being one of the most well-known tourist attractions in Baotou, the scenic area receives about a 100,000 tourists annually.

Lianhua Mountain is situated in one of the warmest areas in Baotou, with an annual average temperature of 7.7 ℃. Based on the Daqing Mountain and dominated by valley and mountain landforms, Lianhua Mountain shows a pattern of "one mountain three valleys and one platform". The main peak of Lianhuan Mountain is 1,545 meters above the sea level, featured with craggy peaks and grotesque rocks. Meadows at the foot of the mountain, and the surrounding grotesque rocks and peaks form a scene looking like the Reclining Buddha.

The Lianhua Mountain scenic area has rich geothermal water with beneficial elements and compounds, believed to be of high medicinal value.
Lianhua Mountain has forest coverage rate of 11.5 percent, and is dominated by ancient cypresses. The area also has a good religious activities foundation. Guanghua Temple was built in Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), a longer history than Wudangzhao Temple. Some religious activities of Tibetan Buddhism are held in the mountain, and some monks still live here.

Start from Donghe Bus Station and get off at Shaerqin Town, then take a taxi to Lianhua Mountain scenic area.

Downtown → G110 (44 kilometers) → (Northwards) → Lianhua Mountain scenic area
