As a part of Chilechuan scenic spot, Chilechuan Museum was rated as a national 4A status in March 2016. Located in Baotou's Salaqi Town where the government of Tumd Right Banner settles, the museum covers an area of 25,000 square meters and has an exhibition area of 18,000 square meters. The Chilechuan Museum opened in October, 2011, as a branch of the Inner Mongolia Museum.

As the only museum with the background of regional historical culture, the Chilechuan Museum has collections from Hohhot, Baotou, the mid - eastern Bayan Nur, the western Ulanqab, Jungar Banner, Dalad Banner of the city of Ordos and other areas.

Start from Kunqu Bus Station or Donghe Bus Station, get off at Salaqi town and take a taxi to Chilechuan Museum.

2. Route by car:

Downtown → G6 Highway (eastward, 66 kilometers) → Salaqi town toll stations (southward) → Chilechuan Museum
