Located in the Xindushi area in Baotou city, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Baotou Civic Park boasts an expansive, charming natural landscape as well as a veritable sea of flowers.

The park covers a total area of 102 hectares and its landscaping combines Baotou signature elements such as deer, grassland and forest.

In recent years, the park has planted trees with regional characteristics such as Chinese ash, the Chinese scholartree, Gleditsia sinensis and mountain peach. A large number of shrubs, hedges and flowers have been added to complement the trees.

This year, the park has been carefully designed, following the contours of its original slopes, to create a landscape with a sea of flowers.

When deciding on what to plant, staff members chose flowers with a long flowering period and with different flowering times from May to November.
