Jiuyuan district in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has raised its profile as well as greatly expanding its tourism appeal through the recent launch of quality one-day tourist routes, according to local media reports.

Route 1

This route highlights the district's unique autumn look. The one-day tour is better completed on a bicycle.

Thanks to the district's continuing efforts to promote the living environment and upgrade its parks and green spaces, you can always find a park or green space for fitness and leisure within 15 minutes' drive of any residential area in Jiuyuan district.

This route includes the Saikhantal grassland, which is the only wetland grassland in an urban area in Asia.

Route: Saikhantal urban grassland – Baotou Science and Technology Museum – Baotou Deer Park – Baotou City Planning Exhibition Hall – Pullman Baotou – Baotou Olympic Center

This route highlights the natural beauty of the district as well as the lamaseries located in the district.

Route: Meiligeng Scenic Spot – Meiligeng Lamasery – Mengleyuan
