Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, launched five new direct flights for this year's winter season on Oct 31, according to local media reports.

The flights are bound for Hailaar, Ulaanhot, and Xiliinhot in the autonomous region, Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province and Changchun in Northeast China's Jilin province.

In addition, the number of flights to eight domestic cities including Taiyuan, Shenyang, Xiamen and Zhengzhou has been increased.
