A series of characteristic cultural and tourism formats such as the Yellow River Culture Museum cluster, the popular science research base along the Yellow River, special Yellow River fish catering, and fruit and vegetable picking have made Xinhe village in Baotou a popular destination for weekend getaways and short trips.

Launching a cultural brand based on the Yellow River Ballad

Using old buildings along the Yellow River, the Yellow River Ballad Cultural Park has built more than 20 artisan shops such as oil workshops and wineries, reproducing a historical look along the Yellow River.

Since the opening of the Yellow River Ballad Cultural Park, it has received nearly 2 million domestic and foreign tourists.

Yellow River Fish and Farm Stay

Due to its close proximity to the Yellow River, it has a unique geographical location. In recent years, Xinhe village has been developing farmhouses and fishing houses for sightseeing and tourism. Many local farmers have gotten involved in the catering business and have built more than 30 fish restaurants.

Using Xinhe village to promote the Yellow River

With the continuous development of cultural and tourism attractions in the village, tourism in surrounded areas along the Yellow River have increased significantly, from less than 100,000 in 2015 to more than 1 million in recent years.

As a result, many tourism festivals such as Cherry Picking Festival and Winter Catching Festival have been created.
