Inner Mongolia Alshaa Economic Development Zone began construction in July 1997 and was approved as a municipality-level development zone by the region’s government in January 2002.
Established in March 2012, Hulunbuir National Economic and Technical Development Zone combines former Hulunbuir Economic Development Zone, Hulunbuir Industrial Park, Chen Barga Banner Industrial Park and Hailaar Industrial Base.
Inner Mongolia Jungar Economic Development Zone is the first provincial development zone in Ordos, approved by the autonomous region’s government in October 1999.
Inner Mongolia Baotou Jiuyuan Industrial Park is located in the city’s Jiuyuan district. Founded in April 2006, it is a region-level industrial park with a planning area of around 80 square kilometers.
Inner Mongolia Dalad Economic Development Zone was approved by the government of Inner Mongolia autonomous region in 2001, and was later identified as one of Inner Mongolia's top 10 industrial development zones and one of 22 key economic development zones along Inner Mongolia’s Yellow River Economic Belt.
With a planned area of 1.21 square kilometers, Ordos Comprehensive Bonded Zone was approved by the State Council to be launched in the Ordos Airport Logistics Park in Ordos.
