    The agriculture and animal husbandry bureau of Inner Mongolia has reported on Feb 17, that their grassland vegetation amounted to 43.8 percent last year, for a 6.7 percent increase over the 2010 figure, and 13.8 percent more than for 2000, and a marked improvement in three ecological problems – the sandy wasteland, the deterioration of the area, and the salinization.

    The city of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia opened a "Watch some drama, celebrate Spring Festival" event at its Folk Arts Center, on Feb 15, running for 28 days with 56 performances of Inner Mongolian songs and dances, Shanxi opera, and other ethnic music and dance.
