Baotou Steel International Economic & Trading Co, one of the main subsidiaries of Baogang Group (also known as Baotou Iron and Steel Group), marked new progress in its steel exports with 1.23 million tons of steel exported to foreign countries during the first three quarters of 2017, according to local media.

The total revenue for exported steel products during the first three quarters hit $326 million, year-on-year growth of 19.4 percent.

The company witnessed a breakthrough in expanding its global market share with steel sheets for automobiles produced by the company exported to India and the Middle East, pipeline steel sheets exported to Canada, and galvanized steel products exported to Brazil and Cambodia for the first time.
