Steady growth in Baotou high-tech district

Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone of Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, recorded steady economic growth in the first half of 2018 with the regional GDP increasing by 7 percent, according to a Sept 12 Baotou Daily report.

The added value of the primary industry increased by 2.3 percent year on year, the added value of the secondary industry increased by 8.2 percent, and the added value of the tertiary industry increased by 4.9 percent.

The added value of industrial enterprises above a designated size indicated year-on-year growth of 10.5 percent. And the per capita disposable income of urban residents increased by 7.3 percent.
